English Conversation Practice: Talk with AI 10 Minutes a Day
When this happens
You've memorized plenty of English phrases, but when it's time to actually speak, nothing comes out. Classes are pricey and practice partners are hard to find. Ask AI to be your conversation partner and you can practice for 10 minutes a day. Just pick a situation, have it ask one question at a time and tell it how to correct you.

Ask like this
Be my English conversation partner for ordering at a café. Ask me one question at a time. After I answer, fix my mistakes and give me one more natural way to say it. Stop after 10 questions.
The answer we got
| 1 | Your answer | Corrected | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | I want americano one. | Can I get an iced americano, please? | "Can I get ..., please?" is the natural way to order |
| 3 | Small size give me. | I'll have a small, please. | Just say "a small" or "a large" |
| 4 | Here eat. | For here, please. | "For here" to eat in, "to go" for takeout |
✅ 10 minutes at 1 question a minute = 10 questions. When you're done, ask for a list of today's corrections.
Tips for better results
- Stuck on a phrase? Just ask
If the English won't come, describe what you meant in your own words. The AI will give you the phrase, then answer again using it.
I wanted to say I'd like to take my coffee with me, but I didn't know how. How do I say that? - Wrap up with today's phrases
When you finish, ask for a table of just the corrections. Read it once before tomorrow's session and you'll repeat fewer mistakes.
List only today's corrections in a table: my sentence, then the corrected one. - Practice out loud
If your app supports voice input or voice chat, answer out loud. Feature names and how they work vary by service, so check the app's help.
I'm practicing out loud. Keep your questions short and easy to say.
Today's checklist
- ①Pick one setting, like a café or a trip
- ②Get one question at a time
- ③Ask for one corrected sentence
FAQ
Can I use this for homework or a speaking assignment?
Check your school's AI rules first. This is for speaking practice. Don't have AI write anything you'll hand in; use it only to get feedback on sentences you wrote yourself.
Are the AI's corrections always right?
AI can get things wrong too. Double-check phrases you're unsure about in a dictionary or textbook, and ask your teacher when in doubt.
Is it OK to practice the same setting every day?
Repeating one setting for the first few days helps the phrases stick. Once it feels easy, swap the setting, like "asking for directions" or "introducing yourself," and keep the rest of the prompt.
