English Vocabulary: Let AI Quiz You with Example Sentences

When this happens

You've gone over your English word list again and again, but on the test the meanings just won't come. Words feel familiar when you only read them, but recalling them is a different skill. Give AI your word list and ask for fill-in-the-blank sentences, and you practice pulling each word out of memory yourself.

Tips for better results

  1. Missed one? Get a new sentence

See the same sentence twice and you'll just memorize the answer. Ask for a fresh sentence for each word you missed.

Make one new sentence for each word I missed and quiz me again the same way.
  2. Snap a photo of your word list

If your AI accepts photos, upload a picture of your list. Have it write out the words first so you can catch anything it misread.

Here's a photo of my word list. First list the words you can see, then quiz me on them with fill-in-the-blank sentences.
  3. Flip it: see the meaning, type the word

Once the blanks feel easy, switch to seeing the meaning and typing the word. It helps with spelling too.

Now flip it. Show me the meaning and I'll type the English word.

FAQ

Can I use AI to do my vocabulary homework?

Check your school's AI rules first. This is for practicing on your own. Don't have AI give you the answers to a test or homework; let it quiz you and answer yourself.

The sentences are too hard.

Set the level and ask again, like "use beginner-level English" or "keep the sentences short." If a sentence has a word you don't know, ask about that word too.

Can I put in all my words at once?

You can, but it's less tiring to add only what you're learning today. Pick up the rest tomorrow with the same prompt.
